Default bad alternator = no start

Well i finished my B16 swap in my hatch and the dern thing wouldnt start. My friend mentioned that one time his accord had the same problem and it was a bad alternator. He said that he unplugged the alternator and the car would start and if he plugged it back up it wouldnt start again. So we tried it out on my car and sure enough the car started. I found that two of my injectors werent firing and i have a set on the way for that, but I was wondering if anyone else had this same problem. A bad alternator not allowing the car to start.

edit: Forgot to mention that he replaced his alternator and everything was fine.
