JDM ITR motor, speedlimiter, how to remove??
I have put a JDM ITR motor into my EG, but the car will not go passed 200km/t. how do i remove the limiter? do i need a new ECU, or will it work with apexi electronics?
what options do i have?
Thanx for any help.

Some tracks have long straight aways that would allow for highspeeds. 120mph is pretty fast. I have yet to hit my stock rev limiter but maybe I'm not driving fast enough.

have'nt you played gran turismo 4 or forza motorsport??
nuburgring is not raced by profesionals, because it is to dangerouse. but for 25euro you can take your personal car on the trak.
There are many that have passed 320km/t on the longest straight.
think a lap is about 25km, it tok top gear(the program) 9 minutes in a 450bhp rover diesel car.

The R-spec controller removes the limiter as does the Apexi RSM or if you can get hold of a Spoon ITR ECU.
I have all three on my car....so i guess that means i can now go 3 x 120mph = 360mph...must try that tomorrow!!!!!!!

Dustin,
Thanks for the reference.
The guys are right. A VAFC, FIELD SFC, etc. will remove the speed limiter. Or I can get you a chipped ECU and you will have no worries.
Either way let me know if I can help.
Good luck. Drive safe.

The JDM P73 tops out at 128 mph. Unless you are a highly skilled driver who needs to exceed those speeds on the track i see no reason for immobilizing the limiter. As previously stated a chipped ecu, VAFC, or fields will perform the task you so desire.

I never heard of this either. I´m running a JDM P72 with a VAFC2 installed in my CRX and it tops out at 180 km/h. Haven´t seen any options in the VAFC menus for removing this speed limiter.

I've hit 130mph on the front straight of Pacific, and that was w/o the 2.0L! I would definately get rid of the limiter if it were on my caR.
The cheapest solution would be to find a used Fields controller.

I can do better than 140 in a few spots at Road America
Or, 95 MPH in a Rental Neon.
