jdm H22A in a Civic EK .. ***THROWING lots of ECU trouble codes***
I have a 1994 JDM h22a with a p13 in a 1997 EK civic hatchback
the car did NOT have any codes or CEL and all of a sudden, i drove hard one day.. and the check engine light came on.
I checked it out, and now it's throwing 7 different codes, i don't see how it's possible... since it was running perfect before
what should i do first? next? last?
codes 4,5,7,8,9,12, and 41
4 = crankshaft position sensor (CKP)
5 = manifold absolute pressure sensor (MAP)
7 = throttle positioning sensor (TPS)
8 = top dead center position sensor (TOC)
9 = No.1 cylinder position sensor (CYP)
12 = exhaust gas recirculation valve (EGR)
41 = primary heated oxygen sensor
PLEASE HELP! any advice taken!
need to get rid of these problems
Sounds like you have some sort of break in your wireharness. Possibly a grounding problem. I had a 97 GSR that was throwing ~6 codes. One wire fixed it all. It was 1 ground wire coming from the engine harness to the ecu harness.
hey andy ! hope you get this **** fixed, it does sound like a ground problem like that guy said. be sure you try to reset the ecu also.
