jdm H22A in a Civic EK .. ***THROWING lots of ECU trouble codes***
I have a 1994 JDM h22a with a p13 in a 1997 EK civic hatchback
the car did NOT have any codes or CEL and all of a sudden, i drove hard one day.. and the check engine light came on.
I checked it out, and now it's throwing 7 different codes, i don't see how it's possible... since it was running perfect before
what should i do first? next? last?
codes 4,5,7,8,9,12, and 41
4 = crankshaft position sensor (CKP)
5 = manifold absolute pressure sensor (MAP)
7 = throttle positioning sensor (TPS)
8 = top dead center position sensor (TOC)
9 = No.1 cylinder position sensor (CYP)
12 = exhaust gas recirculation valve (EGR)
41 = primary heated oxygen sensor
PLEASE HELP! any advice taken!
need to get rid of these problems

unplug the battery then check for codes again. some of those might be old codes.
i fidn it weird that all those codes shows all at the same time.

ummm maybe because he has a p13 and a h22 .... duhhhhhh

Yah, but we don't know what custom wiring he has attempted to get said p13 to work with said H22 in said Civic

fyi... you will have alot less trouble if you switch up to a chipped p28 the prelude ecu has a whole bunch of crap that can keep that car from running right.....

Are you implying that prelude owners don't know much about their motor or ecu?
I would reset the ecu and see what codes come back. Maybe the cel light in the cluster was loose and not showing codes you had before. Very weird that they would all just show up at once unless its wiring.

if "whole bunch of crap" you mean the egr and the knock sensor, which are a total of 3-4 wires, then yes there is a whole bunch of crap i guess.

if you leave a ground off what would happen,,,well see i moved one of my grounds to a diff. location i no longer have vtec, its not engadging
thats part of it, not "every" one has succesfully mastered the addition of the egr system an etc... but from what i kno, there are alot of things on that ecu, that you dont "need" to run that motor... the p28 eliminates most of them, makes problems easier to solve... best advise from Erick Aguilar to me was to replace mine w/ a p28, made things alot easier.

and IAB's. with a p28 you have to buy an rpm activated switch or just let them open at WOT.
