Shift Points!!!!
Well you guys i just got a 91 prelude si (4ws) that **** is ******* badass. well anyway that **** is also stock, i was wondering if anybody who reads this has any good shift points for a stock 91 2.0 si. well just reply to this message please

If that's the case, you wouldn't want to shift right at the peak. You'd want to shift after the peak so you'd be closest to it in the next gear.

and i'm pretty sure your peak torque is at 4grand exactly so shifting at 4500 is best. in 1st gear i would take it up to 5k becuase when you shift to second it should drop to about 3500 then 2-4 go to 4.5k

Use torque and gear ratios. Find at what point your falling ratio is equal to your rising ratio in the next gear and shift there. If you know your RPM drop for every gear you can just use HP though.

5k? this is a honda not a damn domestic that redlines at 5500rpms

i always thought it was ideal to shift right after your engine is putting out maximum torque. why take it up to 7 grand if your loosing power by going that far? and not all domestics redline that low, last week i drove one that redlines at 9000. i think thats a little more than your honda.
