b16 oil capacity ?

Default b16 oil capacity ?

i did some searching and found that most people say its between 3.5 and 4 quarts well i put just shy of 4 quarts and on thr dipstick it read just over the last dot did i over fill it to much do i need to drain some of it??

crank the car and let it run for about 30-45 seconds. Turn it off, wait about 15-20 seconds and check the oil level on the dip stick. Add accordingly.


Typically without an oil filter, you'll be using just shy of 4 quarts. An oil filter will consume approx 1/4 quart on it's own.

ust put 4 in. you will be fine. Since you will burn some of it anyways.

if you change the oil and filter it should take 4.25-4.5 quarts. be sure to start it and let run about 20-30sec after oil change before checking the level, like someone metioned
