I have headers for 96-2000 civic in my 95 civic.
The O2 senor does not reach. Can i run the motor without the senor. Idont want to cut into my wiring harness. Can i just run it like that?

And you'll run Rich... And honestly, I ran my car without an Oxygen Sensor when mine was damaged (Changing out Header)... And when we put the new one on, it felt SO much better.
Why won't the Oxygen Sensor reach?

Also if you need to extend the o2, you can get a dc sports extenstion from lighting motorsports their like $20 with oe connectors , and you will be problem free of cels and running overly rich.

^^^^that sounds like a good idea seeing as how i already have a manifold that fits and dont need to spend a lot of money to make it work..plus i dont want to cut and solder wires...i know how much easier it woudl be to get the right manifold...but its not free.....so i go with the easiest and cheapest...and $20 bucks for an extender sounds like its going to be a winner...thanks for the help though

awwwww...did someone get their panties in a wad
running a car without the 02 isnt going to **** it up...i just wanted to make sure the motor i just put in would run before i went out and spent a bunch of money on a new mani or anything...so just to appease myself i borrowed a friends mani...just to see what would happen..i cruised it around for a little while with the 02 sensor unplugged...whoopdie doo..maybe i wasted a little bit more gas than i should of but i couldnt even tell a difference in the way it drove after i plugged the sensor in...and it has a brand new 02 on it...so
...02 sensor isnt everything...now hop in the shower and clean the sand out of your vagina

did i miss something? you already think that running a car without an o2 isnt going to mess it up, so why did u make a thread? running your car without an o2 wont mess it up but it will cause it to run really rich which will result in poor fuel economy.
runnin the car without the 02 runs like **** compared to having it plugged,
Made a big difference on mine when i did the swap, Also noticed a change in gas milage, its worth the 20 bux to get it plugged

heh the o2 doesnt make a big big difference imo..
but its always best to run with the o2....
seriously dude, dont be lazy.. just extend the wires yourself lol... u dont even need a soldering wire.. just some electrical tape and some wire
and a pair of scissors i guess

i dont even know why i try sometimes...i had never run a car without an 02 (OBVIOUSLY) or i wouldnt have asked the question...but since the best way to find out for yourself is to just try it i did..thats how i NOW know that it doesnt make a difference in how it drives just how much gas you waste...at least thats how it is in my case...but i DO have it plugged now so stop crying and somebody lock this thread.....

^^^^ thats the kind of retarded **** that leads to electrical problems down the road...so dont call me lazy cuz if i wanted to i would have extend the wires by SOLDERING them...thats the only way to do it right
