Default b16a1 vs. b18c5...

What would it take for my CRX to take a 90 hatch w/ b18c5 in it?

It has I/H/E

I was thinking this would take him:

B16a1
CTR intake cam
ITR exhaust cam
ITR intake manifold
DC Sports headers
CAI
Wires
AEM Cam Gears
cat-back
65shot wet shot

Would that be able to take him, or is the torque he has just tooooo much? Comments/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

JB

B16a with no mods but the N20 will smack down on that B18c5.

What kind of 1/4 mile times should I be expecting from the both of us? Right now I dont have the cams/gears/manifold/n2o...and I'm thinking mid-high 14's. Is that what he would be doing stock...add the i/h/e and he's in the 13's? I'm looking to get the cams/gears/manifold next week and was debating the n2o now or saving for a SC/Turbo. Cant make up my mind tho...I love the BOV on the Turbo, but SC is "cleaner" and less maintenance. SiR Kid...how do you like your turbo, and what kind of times do u get with it?

I'll put it this way... I'm a glutton for punishment apparently...

Everyone says I have no luck. My car just keeps breaking.

Since installing the turbo, my car hasn't run or been drivable for more than a month at a time. Sometimes only a few days worth of running.

I have a list of parts a mile long that were wrong, broken, or didn't work with other parts I have. This sucks. I just wanna drive my EF again

I love the turbo's FEEL when the car is running, but goddamn, I wish it'd just stay together <tranny clutch mostly> for a while....

Everything for my car is on my car.. I sell it all to a friend local who runs a "shop" out of his garage... If I break anything, he's got my back, so we work like that, see??

It's actually quite helpful... While my car's all together, he's gunna let me even borrow a head to send off for port/polish, valves and all. NIIIICE

If you do go turbo, here's my recommendations.

1. MOST IMPORTANT. Take NOTHING for granted. f you do, It's gunna break or leak, or wear out WAY too fast.

2. Have AT LEAST twice as much money as you originally plan to spend somewhere where you are able to get at it. You'll need it, trust me.

3. DO NOT do upgrades to your car on a credit card. THat'll just pile up and make everything you need done once you max out your card just THAT MUCH slower while you pay off all the stuff you bought to begin with.

4. Care for your Baby...

I my broken *** EF!

Ok, so JB is going for the engine upgrades/n2o and holding off on the turbo for a while. SiR, have you have any experiences with SC's? How much did you pay for your turbo, and what kind of hp gains did you get from it vs what I would get from a SC?

I got a one liner for that one...

I'm kicking my SC'ed Type R Buddy's *** in my 4th gen Turbo B16a

...but at least he can drive his car everyday...

He put down 201 at the wheels on the dyno when tuning... God knows what I'm making.
