i had the same problem finding it. Its plugged into a holder/dummy plug. You have to remove it and short it out. Its definetely a blue clip so if you grab a yellow one or something else put it back

there's a list of codes on http://tech.hybridgarage.com/tech/codes.html you can check your codes here. the exact location is behind your center console on the floor under the dash where a radio would be, hooked to a factory clip. you'll see it if you know what you're looking for. use a peice of speaker wire, jump it to itself while the engine and key is off, and then turn the key to the on position but do not start the car. the check engine light will blink. for each slow long blink of the check engine light, it represents the number 10, i.e. one slow long blink of the CE light means "10", two blinks mean "20". the fast blinks represent single digits, so for example, one long slow blink and 2 shorter ones would be "12". if you are throwing more than one code, you will be able to tell by a long duration of no blinking between delivering separate codes. don't worry if you miss the code, it will repeat. if you have any questions, message me.
