My parents have had my car back home for a few weeks now. My mom tried to drive it to work a few days, but complained about it being loud and not having cruise control. Anyway last night I got a call from my mom. I assumed she was in her Cadillac until I suddenly heard a very familar VTEC engagement. My stepdad and her had found the secret to the Type-R and were now acting like 16year olds. She was calling me to tell me how much fun my car is and my step dad wanted me to hear him get on it. He kept dropping out of VTEC so I told him to take it on up to about 8k or so, but be sure not to mishift into second from third (my biggest fear). My mom also said that she went off the line once and got the tires to bark second, but the icing on the cake was when she told me that a cop pulled her over for doing 100mph. She said she just needed to pass some slow cars after coming out of a constuction zone, but before she knew it the car was at 100mph....yeah right. She just flashed the creds and got out of it, but it was still pretty funny. My mom said that she can't get my stepdad out of it. He used to have an old Chevelle SS back in the day, but has had nothing but trucks after highschool. I think he might be hooked. Maybe I can tell him about the STI or better yet the Lancer EVO. I think after this he might want something quick again. I think my car is back home safe in the middle of nowhere, but find out my parents are running it harder than me. At least they understand a little better now.

We just had a customer whos like 50 get some JUN III's installed by us. He has a 2000 PY ITR. Its so funny cuz he was telling us all the things he has planned for it and stuff. He cut up pretty much everything to save weight (i.e. powersteering bracket, taking out needless bolts, cutting the ABS bracket, lighter bolts for like 150 lbs worth). Plus he has quite a few go fast goodies, VAFC, AEM intake, cam gears, Greddy exhaust, JUN cams, springs, retainers, and a few other small parts. Just seeing the smile on his face as he ripped through the gears was hilarious. Now if only all older people respected imports like he did, it would be much more fun to drive on the highways.
There's a guy around here about 50 or 60 with a PY Type R.
Right now he's in NZ competing in the Southern Festival of Speed with his 1969/70 TVR Tuscan...
I hope I never outgrow it either!

I don't know about getting in and out of the Recaro's though!
There's enough room for a walker in the back of the Type R too!
I wonder how long we will all have our cars for????
