Is it necessary to run an aftermarket sump?
I am currently in the process of building an engine
specs:
B18C block
darton 84mm sleeves
JE 12.5:1 pistons
crower rods
stock crank
ported gsr head
valvetrain and cams undicided
hondata s200
390cc injectors
twm 52mm ITB's
DC 4-1
I have been advised by my engine builder to run an aftermarket oil pump and moroso sump, is this necessary with the setup? If so which brand?
The car will be a daily driver, used mainly for drag racing with a few track events in between. (I've done a search)
Any help would be much appreciated

On a street car there really no reason to run one. Though it is nice you'll never have to worry about a broken oil pump, there pretty expensive.
Sorry to dig-up an old thread... but you didn't get many responces. I found it when serching before posting this.
