i have an h22 in my ek. i was reading some posts and they said that the 17mm nut was the filler hole, and the 3/8 was the drain. does this apply for all engines? i unscrewed the 17mm to check how much fluid i had left and all the damn oil came spilling out!! for the h22 are the bolts reversed? is the 17mm the drain and the 3/8 is the filler?
far as i know all honda manual trannies have the 3/8 hole as the drain and 17mm bolt as the filler... im not sure if this applies to the ep3 civics or rsx's though... never worked on one of those

this is true also... it should be above the passenger side axle

Thank you. It's common sense. Fill hole should be the one higher up. Drain, down below.
