I hope someone may be able to clarify something. I have a 95 H22 Prelude and want to replace the motor. Would a newer motor like a 97 and up interchange without any problems, for example the wiring connectors and/orsensors. Thanks1

96-obd=2

Stick with one made between 92-95 for interchangeabilityness

as long as the newer motor isn't an SH motor, you can swap your old motor out with the newer one, just keep the following from your old motor:

distributor
injectors
wire harness
motor mounts
tranny
axles
ecu
shift linkage
intake manifold..

if your serious about doing so, just look for a longblock...

 

i dont know about a lude, but i just swapped out a 95 jdm h22 for an 01 SH h22 with no problems at all in my 4th gen accord
