Default DA suspension advice/ideas??

Well, just bought a DA a few weeks back and have been looking into suspension options. One thing that kept popping up was how good the koni yellow/gc setup was. Only problem, its a bit pricey for my budget. Also, some adjustable agx's came up as well, but I have read over a few places that they dont make rears for DAs. But, you can change a DC or EG LCA and trailing arm and the shocks will bolt right up.

My question is, what good, budget minded options are out there for a good suspension setup?? I have about 3-400 I WANT TO spend (but will foot more if needed) on shocks/spring combo or whatever is good. One problem with this is that I havent really found anything worthy for the price. I was also looking for something with some adjustability and shocks that can handle a 1.75-2.5 inch drop with dampining adjustability(but I really dont need soething like 36way adjustability) as the car will see the ocassional auto-x. I have done some research but still lacking in the knowledge department. I was also about to give GC a call and get some advice from them, but ofcourse, they might be a bit biased to pursuading me to buy thier setup .

So any advice, ideas would be greatly appreciated.

yes this is true that they dont make the rear shocks for the da's but you can use the 88-91 civic rears...(what im using) or the eg/dc rears which also bolt right up. the route i was going was agx, with no name coilovers with upgraded coilover springs from gc/eibach, but im opting for omnipowers. sry for the spaced out reply...im working on the teggy

That was another option instead of coilovers or sleeved coilovers. And I also think someone here can revalve blown shocks as well so that might be another option.

Konis are the shocks that can be rebuilt. PM CRX Lee about that.

I use KYB silver shocks and GC's and I love the hell out of it. It's a great riding suspension.

try going on g2ic.com...they have good advice on DA as its a website dedicated to second generation integras. if you have the money i would fork out for koni yellows and ground controls. you would have a very good setup because u have the ability to choose custom spring rates to fit you driving needs. i would also search for what type of spring rates that are recommended. ive seen 550f/450r on a post, and others are 400f/250r. just depends on the what you plan to do. but im sure it would be WELL WORTH the money if you got the Koni/GC setup...im upgrading to that in a few months im running illuminas and skunk2 coilovers and they ride good.
