Default uh oh oil light.

i have a 2002 cbr600f4i.

so i was less then two blocks away from my house, going 15-20mph on a sidestreet when a guy drove a powered lawnmower out from between two trucks less then 10 feet in front of me.

i locked up the front tire like a noob while swerving and went down on the left side of the bike.
luckily my frame sliders saved the bike from much damage. the crank case got scratched a little.

i think the battery got fkd up because i had to push start the bike to get it back on and now my oil light is blinking and there is decent valve tap i hear.

i checked and ive got plenty of oil. does neone have a clue why my oil light is blinking? i let it run for maybe 2 minutes at idle waitin for it to go away, but it doesnt.

what should i do to fix this thing? id rather not shell out the money to get it towed to a shop or honda and have them fix it.
thx for ur help.

this probly wont help you too much.. but on my old bike (90 fzr600), when it fell over at 0mph .. i had to push start it also. some oil came out .. but i rode it around, and it was fine. is it starting better now that you rode it?

I posted on here a couple weeks back about a parking lot sinking below my bike's kickstand causing it to tip over. After I stood her back up and got her started (the bike didn't want to start at first) there was a ton of noise coming from the engine (valve tap and other such noises.) Now, its back to normal but it took a few days to get to that point.

I don't want to tell you to just give it a couple days and have that cause more harm, but thats what I would do. Then again my bike is 11 years old and I'm not as concerned as you might be with your bike.

Keep us posted.

i know with cars a bad altenator or even a battery can throw an oil light. if there is not enough voltage in the system it could trigger the light. bikes are finicky when it comes to oil. the bike i have threw a light bc the oil was old and dirty.
