I was pulling into my driveway today and I something metallic hit the ground. I went out to see this

Do I need this? I'm sort of worried. Thanks for the help.

wth..looks like sum kinda of shield for the exhuast system, im not sure...doesnt really look to important though, try jacking up ur car and taking a look underneath, maybe u'll c where it goes

 

Yeah it's probably an exhaust shield. Looks like something that goes on top of the exhaust

 

Yeah it's an exhaust shield, if you can get another from a junk yard then I would replace it.

 

just tape that crap back on. i think it's aluminum, so it might be a little hard to weld it back in there.

i was being sarcastic about the tape.

without the heatshield on, the temp in your car will go up because heat goes up and exhaust heat is hot as hell.

 

get some big clamps and reinstall it ,,the heatshield helps reduce heat in car it should be reinstalled
