I have a 96 honda accord with a 94 h22 and my car idle between 1500- 3000rpm s up and down no matter if cold or warm. I disconnected the iacv and the idle went down 1200-1500rpm stills goes up and down between these rpms, So what could be the problem.

 

possible vaccum leak. accell cable too tight,

 

My guess would be either a vacuum leak or a dirty iacv screen. Take off the bolts/screws on the iacv and clean the iacv with brake cleaner or replace the iacv if the problem persists.

dont know much about the h22 but my 96 lx {f22b2} has an egr system, used to idle rough at 1500 and above. problem solved after i cleaned the whole intake manifold thorough clean up, took everything apart cleaned it real good, especially the egr system (was clogged with carbon deposits), now it idles normal at 750 and it feels better and responds better
