Accord EXi or Accord VTI? plz help im newbie

Accord EXi or Accord VTI? plz help im newbie
Hi there,
Im currently doing my research b4 i get myself a new accord... being an australian... the most common accords we have here are the Honda Accord Euro, VTI, VTI-S, VTI-L, V6, and the EXi. From what i have seen so far im guessing the VTI series are better than the EX because of the price and age, but than looking at posts and other mod'ed cars most people seem to have LX and EX models.
I was hoping maybe someone could clear up with me the difference between some of these models and which one you would suggest to get. I plan to spend a bit of money on it on mods (interia and ex). would someone please be able to help me with this???
