Default fiberglass sub enclosure? (STEPS)

me and a buddy want to try out fiberglassing his floor in his wrx for a sub. whats the best way to this? ive seen in tv shows like unique on speedchannel that they use a wooden ring and they staple some kind of carpet to form the shape then poor resin over it. whats that material called?

You could always lay down chicken wire for your shape then lay the fiber on top. A friend of mine did this and it turned out really nice for a home project.

The "carpet" was probably sound cloth, [for speaker grills] you can use almost anything that you can stretch over the "frame" and that will absorb resin, at our shop we use cotton, [same stuff as used to make T shirts] we get it at our local fabric store. Don't forget one layer of resin soaked T shirt cloth is not going to be thick enough, you will have to add fiberglass to it, 94
