Default Ok, the side marker install (pics)

ok I seen some people ask how to do this, well here you go.

Here is the car that i am working on (project)

I measured mine 3 inches from the door and 4 inches from the trim.

Yumm, Honda thanks (Password JDM)

Now, next I drill holes so it will make it easy er to get the cutter in.

Don't mind the sloppy cuts. The bit was getting bad. Now you can kinda see that the one end it flat not oval, that is because if you use these markers they have a little lip that locks it into place.

Next I hook it up to the front blinkers. 2 reasons, A: there is 2 wires you can just hook both up and B: they will only come on when the blinker is on.

You may not wanna be cheep and get the harness, it did make this a little easy er.

ok there you go, like my kids say ( Taaadaaa)

I really hope this helps someone out.

looks good but you might want to put something on the exposed metal something rust proof.

Nice write up. I have had my sidemarkers sitting in the garage for about a month. I guess I was just worried that I'd mess up my fender. Now looking at those cuts...it doesn't look like it has to be perfect
Thanks for the write-up! Plan on doing it this weekend or next and this should help...

by the way, what color you painting it? I have the same color and offended that you're not keeping the metallic blue I love the metallic blue, but then again...blue is the best color evar!

I did this to my '87 HF and it was madddd easy because the fenders were plastic.
Dremel did it like a hot knife thru butter

to anyone else who might want to try this themselves, i would recommend that you still mask off the surrounding area while cutting the hole. you will eliminate that stray mark shown at the bottom if the bit gets loose. also, use a straight edge to help cut a straighter hole and protect the surface.

i would recomend a cutting disc on a dremel and a drum sander attachment for it. i think that would come out good and using masking take is a good point too

Why did you put integra side markers in and not the ones that are supposed to be in it.
