Default Newbie '92 220k, ac ?

Fact is, it's about 114F in the sun now. Last weekend I drove up to nothern AZ to get a break and had to turn on the heater. I don't know if that has had anything to do with this, but the ac just ain't cuttin' it now, seemingly. It could be that the @#$% air is so hot outside and around the ducts that the cooled air is warmed as it's passing through the systems hoses and consequently, feeling about 100F by the time it hits ya. Yet my thought is on possibly having the system recharged. Anyone's guess as to what this'll cost in mid-July in the valley of the sun, or other reflections? I appreciate it.
