Default ZC mini-me question.

I have a single cam ZC. I'm about to throw on a Z6 vtec head, Has anyone done this? what kind of performance should I expect, and will there be any clearance issues with the valves and th zc pistons? The compreeson calculator says it should be like over 13:1 compression, it should run pretty strong if it works.

How do you figure 13:1? More like 10:1.
The sohc zc is the same as the d16a6...except for the cam. So its not like it has the high compression pm7 pistons of a dohc zc.
And the sohc zc makes 118 hp. A mini-me should make 125-130ish. So maybe a 10 hp increase. That's a lot of work/expense for 10hp.
If you were starting at 108 hp and looking at a 20hp increase, I would find it more attractive of a swap.

oh i see, I thought the single cam zc had the same pistons as the dohc. So the zc cam is better than the si cam? Maybe I can throw in some pm7 pistons with the vtec head? would that give me the wild comp #'s? Thanks for the help.

have the head milled down a little.. and use a thin headgasket. that will raise the compression.
