obd1 b16 into 1999 obd2 b16 civic si
i blew my b16a2 on my 99 si. need a quick replacement longblock fast, and, ive found plenty of obd1 jdm b16a sir2s.
i know i will need to change out the crank angle for the short block, but, is that it? as for the head, im thinkin dizzy too, but, are there pinouts for this?
am i missing anything else?
TIA.

you "blew your engine" just use the new block, same bolt-ons... fan switch might be different.. i'm too tired to get into it.. but it shouldnt be a OBD conversion or anything...
You will have to change the oil pump to OBD2 then install the crank fluctuation sensor. It would also be best to use the complete intake manifold and distributor from your stock B16A2 if possible.

What he said!!! Whole oil pump needs swapping unless you plan to run an OBD1 ecu conversion. Otherwise the OBD1 block is good. If only the bottom end is bad on yours I'd suspect you were planning to reuse everything else from the original motor anyways like manifold, dist. etc...
