I need to get some new camber kits for my cuz im gettin new rims and tires. My rims that are on right now have been eat out like ***** in ur face lol. i was thinkin of get skunk2 camber kit. let me kno thanks

Why do you need a camber kit? Unless you are super low all you need is an alignment and you will be fine.

 

is -1.6 camber bad? after i droped my car i got it aligned and the guy was like ok your good to go. so i mentioned a camber kit and he said you dont really need it as a matter of fact you can take turns better but he also said the tires will wear on the inside but not bad.

GetawayinMoscow and e jay one have the right idea.

Unless you are in danger of ripping off your oil pan - A mildly to moderately lowered car will only need to have the toe corrected.

When you lower most FF Hondas, the tendency is to have toe out which wears the tires more than the static camber it produces.

Most people use camber kits to make MORE neg. camber or have the ability to adjust it to suit their needs on/off the track. Remember to adjust camber first then toe.

 

you souldn't need a camber kit unless your droping your car, but if your going to get one anyway go with the skunk2

 

my car is droped. H&R SPRINGS i cut the front bout a 1inch or so but the back butterflyn. my back tires have been EATTEN OUT to the bone thats why im askn so when i get my new rims it would happen again. well thanks for the help

Anytime you change the height of your car, you should get an alignment done right away to set the toe within factory specs.

From the sound of it (back "butterflyn") you could probably use some camber correction, either the cheap washer method or an adjustable link system. Skunk2, omnipower, ingalls, spc, etc.. all would get the job done.

Personally i have the ingalls rear link camber kit and omnipower front camber kits and have no problems with either.

Thats the easy part.. good luck finding a competent place to actually dial in the camber once you get the kits installed.

 

ive had ingalls on every honda ive ever owned... never had a problem so i dont plan on switching

 

easy solution:

1)get an alignment, cause itll save you a lot of money if thats all you need...and odds are thats all you need

2)if that doesnt work, go for the skunk2 camber kit, but like kse said, good look finding someone to do it

If it's only your rear tires then just get washers to space out (lengthen) the upper control arm. Under 5bux at your local lowe's homedepot etc..etc....

if your rear tires are wearing that bad its more than likely the toe... camber on the rear wont eat the tires up that bad cause there isnt much weight in the rear... you will more than likely need adjustable toe links... thats what happened to me when i did my rear disc conversion... i even pulled the trailing arm out as far as it would go and the tires were still toed in
