Default Rough acceleration/performance when car is cold

Every morning before my car is at normal operating temp the car feels real rough when accelerating. It feels like it's hesitating when not given more gas than usual. It's like the first few times you started driving a manual where the car wuld rock back and forth when you shifted incorectly or gave it too little gas or something in first gear. This only happens when the car is dead cold and still warming up. After about half a mile of driving and the car is warmed up it goes away and never returns for the rest of the day unless I leave it parked in the cold/shade for 3+ hrs. I only take it up to 2800 during cold starts. Is this normal or do I have some sort of problem here?

That's not normal. I would check condition of spark plugs, and distributor cap/rotor.

Plugs are about 2 month old ngk vpowers. I'll have to check out the cap and rotor sometime.

Compared to the spark plug chart I am running just fine. Looks like the normal ones on this page: http://www.ngksparkplugs.com/t...2.asp
