Hey guys
Whats the general rule of thumb when it comes to cam gears? i've clayed my motor to +5 -5 and have ample clearance.
Now i wanna make some more power, comp cams stg 3, gsr head, 2 layer hg, b16 bottom end.
I know my compression is high enough for these cams to perform well, but right now im set at 0,0 and want to tinker around and find some hidden power. I know that this should be left to professionals and should be done on a dyno. But what is the theroy behind cam timing. On my old setup i ran the same motor but with a ctr intake and gsr cam and it was set to +2-1.
any help for a confused brown dude?

Use your cam gears to do this.
Once your cams are installed at the manufactuers specs you will not probably not have to touch them at all. Degreeing your cams in makes a huge difference.
