Default air intake heat

I have an aftermarket intake and noticed that the socal heat and driving makes the tubing very hot. other than returning to stock air box, how can i reduce the heat on the intake.... like header wrap.

Won't help that much but it's better than nothing. The air's velocity within the tube under engine load is fast enough so that the IAT doesn't get heated up that high...

Some companies make specific wraps for intakes to help cool them. Try searching for Cool Tube Intake Shield in Google.

DEI tape i think that's what u call it.

people wrap in on their headers and like 5 minutes after they drive they can hold the header in their hand.

Read this. This is helpful info. Header wrap and what I'm talking about are two different things.
