Default What will be better ???

I drive a 89 crx I have the option to go B18C1 turbo or B18C5 supercharged which is better assuming both motor's are internally stock.

save more money and do a turbo built b18c5 if you run turbo, either do it right or don't do it at all... supercharging sounds awesome and all, but there is just so much more potential you can unlock with a turbo over a supercharger on a 1.8L engine...

Yeah but by building the engine all he'll really be doing is lowering the compression on the B18C5. Why not save a little money and build the B18C1 as well as the head??? You know what I mean?

Turbo = Turbo Lag
Supercharger = Expensive and not as much power

I'd go geeser turbo. . But it's up to you Ascary, your car, your money. Do what you want, you can ask what will be better but if you have your mind set on one of them that's what you're gonna do no matter what anyone tells you.

I say go with the B18C1 turbo. The B18C5 is overpriced and the supercharger will not do as good as a turbocharger, cause of the need to rev on the B18C motors.
Go with Turbocharger...you will be happier.
Go with B18C1...the couple of extra grand you save can go towards a nice turbo kit, or good management.

He already has a turbo kit, he's just needs to buy the geeser engine cause right now he has a B16.

B18C5 all the way if you have $$$....otherwise B18C1 will be perfect.
