my buddy recently purchased a nice 97 R, but the drivers seats has a cigarette burn RIGHt in the middle.

any chance anybody has a bent/wrecked seat and wants to sell the fabric for a decent buck and help a buddy out?

any other ideas where he might find the fabric? thanks in advance-adam

Thats funny... We have been talking about this for a few days now..
I will let the cat out of the bag these front seats have both been repaired with this same fabric.

The entire right side of the drives seat was replaced by a local shop with this fabric.
See the seem on the inside of the recaro stiching all of that from that seem on was replaced and re red stiched with this same stuff..

People, I believe our thread starter is looking for the fabric in the middle of the seats, not the Alcantara on the sides and back.

And I'm in the same boat as well, my driver seat also have a sigarette burn in the middle so I would also like to know where to get this.

unfortunately I cant find a link off the internet, been looking for 15 minutes.

You can buy from the factory an individual seat cover. When buying a seat from acura the seats come in a million pieces and they have to put them together. So just call acura and see what price they will give you on the cover.

I too am looking for the middle seat woven fabric to replace a cigarette burn on the passenger side. Been looking forever it seems but have not been able to get that material. As for calling Acura and getting the seat cover to replace it you could buy a 2 used front seats for less than the price of a new cover. Good luck. Let me know if you find anything.

my buddy decided not to drop a ton of cash on the OE ones...

he's tossingaround the idea of buying a race bucket, now...sparco or something.

clutch disc blew up (85k on it) and we had to yank the trans today, so other projects prevail.

to those of you who are looking for the SEAT fabric (cloth) I have found a site (which probably already has been mentioned before) which sells the cloth by itself . here is the link.

hopefully this will help you all, as it helped me!

Again, reading is fundamental, they only offer the Alcantara that is used on the sides and the back of the seat, not the fabric that's used in the middle of the seats, which is what most of us in this thread is looking to find a source for. But, nice try anyways, they do howevere have some AVUS black fabric available, I don't think it's the right pattern to match the one used on the seats, so to use that you'd have redo all the padding.
