CEL 6....is there any powerloss ??
Your ECU is just ******' with you. It randomly throws out that code when it wants you to make a thread on H-T.
You know the saying, if its not broke, don't fix it. Well...the time has come that something might actually be broke and here you are asking us how much of a power loss you'll incur.
Have you reset your ECU? Did the light come back on immediately? Do you have a Helms? Do you have a meter to make some electrical measurements?
If the ECT is really bad, you can try and use a 300 ohm resistor - this simulates around 180*F.

aight.. im just asken a question and seeing if theres any powerloss. and yes i'v reset my ecu, pulled the fuse, disconnected the battery. and yes the light comes back on immediately yes i have a volt meter. i just figured i'd come on H-T and see if i can get any info..
Understood about getting info....and the info you seek is in the Helms manual. Since the light came back on immediately, more than likely you do have something seriously wrong with the ECT. Maybe its unplugged, maybe its burned out, maybe one of its wires has shorted out but since you have a meter, you should have been checking this stuff.
Since the IAT and ECT share the same electrical characteristics, measure their resistance after they've been sittings for awhile - they should show the same resistance. If they measure fine, can you measure that same resistance back at the actual ECU connectors?
Here is a hell of a thread as far as troubleshooting the electrical side of things goes: LINK
