lx to ex.
i own a 96 accord lx with a blown motor. i was wondering if the ex f22b1 sohc
v-tech motor will bolt right into an lx engine bay and what i would need to do to make it work. i wouldn't think very much is needed but i wanted to ask the experts anyway as you all have been very helpfull so far. also, i would like to get some more power from the motor, big surprize, and looking to turbo. does the v-tech ex motor still have the steel sleeves as the lx motor does and hold up to the turbo's pressure? if not, i might just go full stock lx and work from there.
thanks in advance.

it will bolt in just fine...as far as the motors they are identical except for the vtec head on ex's. you will need run wires from the vtec ecu you will need to the vtec solenoid to get vtec to activate...
oh, and for future reference it is only vtec, not v-tech. and the sleeves are made out of ductile iron not steel...

What kind of turbo setup are you trying to run once you have this new motor installed?

sorry, didn't realize i was "whoring", whatever that means, just joking around to keep morale high. but anyway, im not really sure what setup i would like to put in it. i wouldn't want anything to extreme as i dont have alot of funds to do much internal work. ive heard the motor will take around 8 psi without the risk of any damage so prolly just a simple bolt on kit. just want a little extra punch. any suggestions?
