I agree... But if you must, figure that it's the same as any other time you're making a non-convertible car into a convertible. You need to choose your lines, make clean cuts, and know how to round off edges. Either way, it's going to look like **** and you're going to regret doing it afterward.

CRX's are the worst for making convertibles anyway. Some sort of coupe would look better but for god's sakes this is a hatchback! I think people forget that sometimes. Do you realize what the drag coefficiant is like when wind comes into your car and gets stopped by a vertical wall (the back of your car) your top speed, and gas mileage are out the window.

actually it's a 3 dr hatchback. a coupe has a trunk. and why do people insist on chopping up a unibody? do they not know that their handling will turn to sh*t and as soon as they touch any object going at any speed, the car will end up being a tuna can?

Do a little research, Honda marketed and sold it as a coupe. Look at the Honda shop manuals it clearly says coupe.

In taking your advice and doing a little research.........this is what I found:
1991 Honda CRX Specifications
Body Styles, Trim Levels and Options:
The Honda CRX is an affordable two-door hatchback that comes in three trim levels. The base CRX comes standard with features like 13-inch wheels with 175/70 tires, a defroster and wiper for the rear window, a rear cargo cover, dual manually operated side mirrors, a tachometer and a quartz digital clock. The HF, in its quest for better fuel mileage through reduced weight, actually loses some of these items, including the rear wiper, passenger-side mirror and cargo cover. It also has skinnier 165/70 tires. The CRX Si has much of the same equipment as the base CRX but gains a front air dam, 14-inch wheels with wider 185/60 tires, a sport-tuned suspension, variable-rate steering and a power-operated sunroof.
Sorry.......I said 3 door instead of 2 door.........but it's still a hatchback.

Its a coupe because it has two doors, yea, but you'll never hear anyone refer to a hatchback car as a coupe.
And to the original poster, if you want anything, go with either a targa top or just get a sunroof installed. The convertible isn't worth it like everyone else has said.
