Some guy on EBAY is selling a "speed chip" (resistor) and he claims it adds 7-15hp+

been covered, much like the electric turbocharger, it's a scam.

**edit** not really a scam, it's simply fooling the ECU into thinking that it's cold outside, so it runs richer. Same can be had from radioshack for less than $1 if you really want to do it. Not a good idea though, it can mess things up in the long run.

 

yeah when i read 'trick the ecu'.. i didnt think that sounds to safe...

 

"trick the ECU" isn't always un-safe.
That's basically how a VAFC works and it's safe ..... in the right hands.
