Help finding tail light for ITR
Hey guys,
I was hoping someone here could help me.
I was hit in the rear by another vehicle (this was like about 8 months ago) and it destroyed my right side tail light (1998 USDM ITR). The body shop replaced the light by part number but it was not the correct light. I asked here before to make sure I was not crazy, but my original light is red/white and the replacement is red/white/yellow. My local Acura dealer told the body shop that I had put the "wrong" set of lights on my car, and that they delivered the correct one.
The body shop tried 3 different times to order the correct light, and every time its been the wrong one. Does anyone know where/how I can get this tail light? Anyone have one for sale? The body shop is willing to reimburse me for the light if I can find it myself.
Thanks!!!
Andy

It's really not that hard, I don't understand why the bodyshop is having a problem. 1994-1997 has red/white/amber taillights, and 1998-2001 has red/white taillights.
The correct part number should be 33501-ST7-A11, as shown here.

Thanks for the reply...your link seems to be broken though?
I dont know if its the body shop, or the local Acura dealer....the guys at the body shop say they just order by part # and Acura sends them the parts.
I *think* they even tried to order by supplying the VIN.
Acura here says they CANNOT get that light!?
They are offering to give me a matching left but I would much rather just have the correct one for the right.
By the way, the parts manager at Acura told me on the phone that the red/white light was for the earlier model Integras and thats why he couldnt get them anymore. Im generally an easy going person, but after 8 months this is driving me crazy lol...

Ok, that Acura parts guy is an idiot. As Mike said, 94-97's have the amber turn signals, whereas the 98+'s have the all red. Get it from else where. There is a guy who works for Acura on here (screen name = len) You should give him a call. LINK

The parts manager is an idiot then. I would suggest ordering the lens from another dealership.

Thanks everyone!
Apparently the parts department at my local Acura has gone through some changes and the old staff is mostly non-existent now. I spoke with a "new" parts manager today, and he is ordering a light scheduled to be here tomorrow.
Hopefully this one will be the right one!
