Default OK, I added the filter. Now 2 more questions...

Now I dont have to worry about anything getting in there!

OK, 2 quick things:

#1: Does the two bottom ends of the stock filter stay in there, or is it ok for me to take them out?

#2: The piece that im holding is not connected to anything, should I leave it like that, or what do I do with it?

I'd take out that stock airbox to help with air flow. You're gonna have to ask someone with more experience about the other thing, when I replaced my intake there was only one thing going to the charge pipe...but my charge pipe had 2 optional bungs....I used the one, but not the other.....

You would take out the bottom half of the stock air box to help give it more air flow like (Pioneer162) said. The metal tube stay there or if you don't like it then dremel it off.

You could/should take the air box out. Its a bit of a pain though (at least for me it was). I lost my patience with it so I literally just wanked it the **** out.

^ the metal part does not have to stay if you replace the 2 hoses marked in yellow with a longer hose and then simply just remove the metal part.

^^ to get the lower part of the air box out there are 2 bolts if i am correct and then i just yanked the **** out of it and wa-la, lil better air flow
