Default d16z6 rebuild help

well had the timing belt jump a tooth this past holiday weekend, barely made it home. lol sucks ..... but neverless i got the motor ripped apart, the head n such above is ALL off the block. my problem lies with the DAMN crankshaft pulley bolt. i bought a holder that holds the (stop sign keyhole) in the pulley itself, and i still cannot get it. im going to try again tommorrow with some longer pipes n brakerbars. see what happens.

how many of you guys have honed your cylinders yourselves ? what grit ***** did you use ?

so ya looking for opinions or what people have done to get that crank bolt out.
thanks tons.

My block needed some cleaning so I think I payed like $30 for hone and cleaning of teh block. Not a bad deal.

Call a machine shop and ask them. Hopefully they can be helpful.

yes i know,
well i had some other things wrong (worn internals) , some sensors broken. so figured this be the opt time to do a rebuild. i wanted a swap but keeping things as cheap as possible.

any other opinions on getting off that crankshaft pulley bolt ?
spanx..

pbblaster, big breaker bar, and a gorilla........you'll be fine.......you can use air tools in place of the big breaker bar and gorilla....

there is no other way...sorry

but yeah, pretty cheap to take the short block to a shop and have them do some of the little stuff.

got the bolt out finally the other day, finished ripping the motor down. veryyy dirty
but ya .. broke 3 tools getting the crank pulley bolt off. snap on extensions.
i didnt have an air gun over 90psi, which you need more.
so a breaker bar with the extension bar and socket. then a 5-6 foot piece of pipe onto the breaker bar, slide onto it , and just hang on the pipe till the bolt breaks.
i read somewhere online a person saying it sounded like something breaking when it comes loose, i thought i broke all my tools i had in my hands... lol
hope this helps anyone needing info about this AWEFULL TERRIBLE BOLT !!!
hehe
