Default lowered cars, problem getting an alignment

I'm kinda pissed, I got a lifetime alignment at firestone before i ever lowered my car, now they won't do it. how the hell are you supposed to get lowered cars, which need it MORE, aligned? wtf...

ask for your money back. Do they have a clause?

How low is your car? If you had it aligned prior to lowering and then you added parts that CHANGE the alignment of the car then of course they won't honor it. Gotta read the warranty clause's man.

you pay once, then you get free alignments as long as you own the car. sounded like a good deal to me, cuz it was like 20 bucks more.... ********

Lifetime alignments, or any lifetime guarantee for that matter, become void when you do something to the vehicle that will alter the factory settings and will require more time and calibration to get it right and/or will risk the chance of you damaging the new part sooner.

of course lowereing it changes the alignment, thats why i need it done, its not a warrenty, its free allignments for life, well, not free, you pay once, but thats the idea, if the alignment is off, then thats why i need it, i planned on lowering the car and thats why i got it, i knew i'd need it done

most shops can still do lowered cars as long as you can get on the lift. got my 4 wheel for 49.95 with camber adjustment

Dude I had the same problem. Just ask around your area for any shops that specialize in doing alignments on lowered or performance vehicles. There should be at least a couple. You're gonna pay a little more but they do a better job. Firestone's lifetime alignment and their service is crap. I've had 3 friends buy into that only to have had their alignments and suspension messed up. The firestones around here actually try to do the alignment on lowered cars so long as they can get them on the rack.

where are you located? If you're in So. Cal. (esp. San Diego) I know a place that specializes in alignments for lowered cars.
