Default Turbo Question

I am building a ZC motor for my 89 CRX. What kind of turbo would go good on this motor. Could I use a T3/T4 on it or would that be to big and would I be better off going with a T3 turbo

This is kinda a matter of what your looking for. Is your engine built up etc..

Stock internals you can do abobut 200-220 HP

T3/T4 on stock will spool high... so you will have big lag and boost only for a moment.

Most people on stock ZC's use T25's or 14B's easy to get decent size turbo.

I am just putting a RHB5 IHI turbo, its abit smaller but has very very low spool so its nice.

I'd stick with any of the DSM turbos or a Mazda.

I will be building up the motor. Eagle Rods and either CP pistons or vitera pistons. Probably a Z6 head and some other mods that will let the engine hold power so i won't have to sleeve the block right away

If its the DOHC blacktop u cant swap a head onto it, thats the bane of owning a dohc blacktop zc.. almost no parts for it, cam gears are regrinds mostly, but it sucks, just throw a turbo on it, im putting an rhb5 vj11 on it and call it a day.

yea that pretty much what ive heard about owning the ZC. I'll probably just throw a Garrett t3 or t3/t4 turbo on it and call it a day. I plan on doing a gsr swap in the future so this setup will do me for now until i can afford to do the swap
