To buy yes, but you have to start somewhere with today's lowballers.

I got my '97 in Dec. '03 with 23k, from the first owner and the seller was asking $19,000. Personally, at the time I thought it was a more than fair asking price.

He won't get over 20k but it's worth every penny of $18,500 I'd say.

i agree...unless he is very firm and simply wont take less at which point it would take a collector to scoop up this baby!

"still on original tires..."

and, I bet it's bald.

Nice collector's piece... too bad it's not an '01 w/ 19k miles, that would be more like $21k.

(And, as evident by the selling price, it's a terrible investment.)

definetly not overpriced, but it will probably sell for 19.5 or so. if the car is in incredible condition and is well maintained, its worth every penny.

Seen this one in person and it is by far the cleanest used ITR I've ever seen. He will definately get his asking price, and its definately a collector's car.

if you're buying this car to lightly modify, NOT daily drive and maintain the current owner's apparent fine upkeep after all these years, its a good investment in my opinion. even with modest upgrades in parts later on, it should hold value.

if you plan on slapping a jdm front on there and going to town on the performance parts, i wouldnt do it.

I really don't get it... unless you hold on to it for another 10 years & don't put any mileage, the car has no investment value.

If you want to own an ITR to drive, there are better R's out there.

CW is not all it's cracked up to me, IMHO. '97 is almost 10 years old now. There are so many cars with better driving dynamic now, I really don't see why someone will spend $21k on such an old car. But, to each their own.
