Hydro clutch to cable conversion..... really stiff!
Specs: B16B in CRX with HAsport trany conversion, New clutch cable. It is really stiff! At first it it was not only stiff pressing the clutch but it didn't snap back either. so i re routed the cable to make it straight as possible and modified the conversion kit for better leverage. now it snaps back but is still really stiff. few other of my buddies have this conversion on GSR and B16A trany's with stock and after market clutches. They, however, do not have that stiff of a clutch. Any known solutions or things i could try?

That happened to me right after I went from the cable tranny to hydro. A few days later the cable snapped, I replaced it with a new OEM cable and the pedal was much softer! Hope that helps you out.

Bringing this back b/c I dont want to start another thread about the same thing.
I just installed my B18c with hasport hydro kit (not running yet) and I installed my new DA clutch cable from Napa and the pedal is STIFF. I have a brand new HDSS ACT clutch also installed (which I believe is impossible to install wrong). The whole assembly appears to move like its suppose too, but its stiff. I initially had the clutch cable under the IM, but I tried just a straight shot over the motor just to see if anything changed and its still stiff. (running it as straight as possible might have loosened it up a hair.
What esle should i do? Will it make a difference once the motor is running (i dont think it should, but figured I'd ask)?
Thanks

ive got the same setup in my gsr rex. And yeah its pretty stiff but not too bad at all. It also depends on the clutch you will be using because theres alot more feedback in a cable actuated transmission.
I have exedy stage 1. not too stiff, but since youre running the act hdss, thats got a really stiff pressure plate. You really dont have any other option to soften up the clutch feel unless you went with a clutch that is less agressive.
hope this helps you.
