Default CARB-less headers

i know many ppl here run JDM 4-1 headers that dont have the CARB numbers. So that makes it illegal. But will it still pass emissions tests, given the fact that you have a properly functioning cat?

It should. Usually as long as there's a cat it will hide most emissions. And as long as you put the heat shields on it, it will most likely pass the visual portion of the test because it looks stock.

I know someone with a stock intake and JDM headers and exhaust and he passed.

I'll try to make it simple as possible:
1. You'll pass visual emissions if you have the heatshields. You'll also pass the sniffer if you have a cat.
2. It's illegal on the street no matter what.

If your worried bout SMOG then get the heatshields and you'll pass. If you don't get the shields and they realize that it's not the stock header they'll fail you.

If you fail, then put your stock one on. Then after the test go home and put it back on.
