i just gave them a piece of mind about all of this ASSCAR crap.

 

I wrote to them, and this is what I said:

You are doing what you promised not to do. You promised to be the best motorsports channel in the world. You promised that you wouldn't just show NASCAR! Well.....you are! And it's driving me nuts! There are enough channels out there already that show enough NASCAR. In my generation (I happen to be 18), NASCAR will become extinct. I believe that real racing will take over the motorsports scene like WRC or American Le Mans. Not NASCAR, not OVAL racing. What's the fun in driving in circles for 4 hours. How can you guys even stand it. I am even sure that the NASCAR fans are going to get sick of all the coverage you are giving them. I am pretty sure that they don't need 23 hours a day of NASCAR, and then show some WRC from 3-4 in the morning. I know this isn't going to last long. Sooner or later, the ratings will come in and people are just going to get sick of it. All of my friends, I mean ALL of them hate NASCAR and have stopped watching Nascar TV, I mean SPEEDCHANNEL. I know you guys can do better than this, and you're going to have to. This isn't going to last long at all. I suggest you show a little more variety. I know a lot of people that used to watch Speedvision for just the planes, or the boats, or just the cars. Now, it's only NASCAR. The percentage of Speedvision viewers that were just NASCAR fans was very slim, so now you have a very small percentage of people watching your channel. You guys need to get your act together, and you better do it fast. Someday, SPEEDCHANNEL won't exist anymore, and it will be your fault.

Please get EVERYONE to give feedback on this. Spread the word to every site (If you haven't already). Classic reruns are meant to be played late at night, when no other programming is available. Who actually watches CLASSIC NASCAR every night of the week. Please tell me who they are and I'll be sure to run away when I see them on the street. Kerry

The irony is, Fox probably doesn't care what we think, so long as the rednecks still watch the channel they have hit their target market.

Who cares what you think? The advertisers. Call/write them and explain that if they insist on supporting a bunch of rednecks that think killing off a few drivers every season is a good thing, then you can no longer buy their products.

I have Direct TV, I got the $30 a month package for speed vision and speed vision alone. No point in spending the extra $10 a month anymore. Direct TV pays Fox, if they lose viewers/cash, they will put some pressure on fox.

The only solution is to make Fox lose money on the channel (of course they would probably just cancel it then...).
