What would you do?
Ok heres the situation, I live in a condo with underground parking, i plan on doing most of it there and over a lengthy amount of time i presume its going to take. Im driving a 91 civic si with a 92zc swap, 260k on the body/suspension
lol so you can imagine how she feels haha.
Im getting a clunk sound when i back up only once tho and its only when i turn my wheels. (not the cv's nor trans) ive got so much wheel hop that my cd player skips anytime i try to launch hehe and here are my options to resolve this:
List out all the sus/steering/shift bushings and order them thru honda at a shop discount? (no idea on price)
or
Bid on ebay for Graphite impregnated polyurethane Bushings kit (Front and Rear control arm bushings, Front strut rod bushings, Front and Rear shock bushings, Front end links, Steering rack bushings, Transmission stabilizer bushings, Ball joint and tie rod end boots) for 1988-1991 ($130 USD + shipp)
or
plan this out even more and use a combination of brands/stiffness bushings? (to avoid squeeks/ binding)
just any info would be appreciated
*edit* ohh and if youve done this project before what would you have love to know before you got into it?
what were the worst parts about doing it ect?
Lucas.

i have the same clunk problem, my car has 278k miles on the body. i replaced all the balljoints, though.
so, assuming your balljoints are good, that clunk you hear i'm sure is your RADIUS ROD bushings.
that also explains your wheel hop.
i bet your car is hard to take off/drive if you're not used to it (likes to "jerk" in first and second gear?) that's the radius rod bushings. mine are toast as well.

lol sweet thanks for narroing it down for me, it is hard it pulls of launch and follows the grooves quite well, it be awsome if that was a good thing
hehe
and i havent replaced my balljoints in a while but the clunk is so non repetitive that i doupt it would be them. thanks for the info
