Default Omni valvetrain: are valves worth it?

Looks like I'll be getting omni dual valve springs and Ti retainers for an upcoming cam upgrade. I'm pretty sure I have one bent/broken valve in the head right now. I was curious whether I'd be better off replacing the one OEM valve, replacing all 16 OEM valves, or getting 16 omni valves.

I'm not too concerned about the difference in power, but according to the omni site, their valves lock into the retainers in such a way that they move together, reducing wear (I'm not sure how much of that I buy )

Would it be worth the extra money to get the omni valves? Or should I stick with OEM?

TIA

stock b16a thus far,

what I'm planning on is omni dual valve springs and Ti retainers, BC spec III+ cams and adj. cam gears for now.

Down the road (probably a year or so) this head will be going on a 2.0 LS block.

Mostly, I'm just curious whether Omni's little shpiel about reduced wear/extended life is true. I intend to keep this head as-is for a long long time.

well i think the omni valves are made of the same material as oem valves..someone correct me if im wrong..but u should def check retainers for wear every 10-15k just to be safe

yes, same material as OEM. I think the main differences are a tapered stem and flat bottom. :edit: exh valves also have an inconel (sp?) head

New valves with new springs, new cams, new retainers. If not do not complain when an old valve breaks. Buy new keepers (locks) while you are at it.
