how do you call that aluminum piece that we need to remove to get to the passanger side oil pan bolts?
im askin this cause i need to buy one for my b16a2.

i just wanna make sure that were talikng about the same thing....
is it the flywheel cover or is it the flywheel inspection cover or are thay actualu the same thing?
this is part of the broken peice..... bolted on to the engine.

but seriously i dont think you need these parts. i just used them as a stand when i put my blocks on the floor

yo can still put the cover on without that bracket yano. Ive also ran a few cars without the covers . It just helps from getting rocks or something up in there but, Ive never heard of that happening

That is a "stiffener" bracket (#9 & #10 in the picture below). There are two that connect the cylinder block to the transmission, and help reinforce the connection between the two. They are around $35 each from Honda, but you can buy them here for about $10 less. Make sure you know which one you need before you order it because each one is different...

How so ? I dunno how many motors I've had without them for years ...Yes its an easy and cheap part to replace but I wouldn't say its necessary
