Engine sputtering with no CEL

Started out of the blue... it's idling at 1k and sounds like a V8 with a cam. I reset ECU but its still doing it... what else can I check to see whats wrong?

engine is a 99 b18b

Plug wires, spark plugs, cap, rotor, COIL.

it's done it once before, but only for like 10 seconds, then it was ok again, and that was like 3 weeks ago, this wouldnt help narrow it down would it?
