left map light flicker during driving???

left map light flicker during driving???
OK, I am driving my girls '99 EX sedan bone stock. when she is looking at the map at night and I am driving up a on ramp the drivers side map light goes out for a second and teh pass. flickers?? There is only one switch that controls both. Then they are fine the next five min??? Anyone had this happen?
