CEL code - 9 or 90?

i have a 97 civic with the CEL on. When i plugged it to read the code, it flahed nine times slowly. so would that be code 9 or 90?

if its 9 times slow and kinda long then its 90 if its jus 9 quick flashes then its 9

90 Evaporative Emission Control System leak detected in the fuel tank area

now, can anyone suggest how to fix it or what to do?

Reset the cel, and make sure you tighten your gas cap 3 clicks. Or your gas cap could actually be bad.
