I have a 97 EX that still has ice cold ac. I know the car will go for 200k+ miles, but I doubt that the a/c system will work when I get to that point, unless I pay the 1000-1300 bucks that shops usually charge to replace the system.

Does anyone have an educated guess on what the average service life of a Honda a/c system is? (assuming average use, not on or off all the time)
