Wassup guys,
I wanted to know if it's a good idea to run long IC couplers. There will be about a 2-3" gap between my piping. But I'm only running these long couplers on the IC inlet and outlet. I already have T bolt clamps, but just wanted to make sure it's ok to run my piping with gaps that big underneath the hose couplers.
If it matters I'll be running 15-18 PSI on my new setup. I wanted to move my IC forward to give my radiator some more room.
TIA

we have some "hump hose" couplers that are a lil longer than normal. we use them on integras with backdoor intercoolers. as long as you have bead rolled pipes, tbolt clamps and this type of coupler...you should be fine :D
Subarus use rubber intercooler hoses. Silicone is an upgrade.
The cheap pure silicone hoses will expand, but the better reinforced silicone hoses are just fine. People just use metal because it is easier to weld pipe than to make custom hoses. I prefer hose myself; less vibration.
